Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for Seville, Spain!
Seville is in the southwest corner of Spain, capital of the Andalusian region, the Moorish Spain of the famous history and romance novels, and less than a day's drive to the Gulf of Cadiz and Atlantic Ocean in the south, or to the Portuguese border in the west. Despite the many palm and orange trees growing throughout the city, usually associated with more tropical venues, the climate of the region around Seville is surprisingly more like that of the desert, relieved only by the Guadalquivir River of which Seville is a major port. Flamenco dancing and guitar are at their best in the taverns of Seville, and the bullring and matadors also are significant focal points for Seville culture. Unlike other major towns in Spain, with their separate museums and cultural centers surrounded by modernized urban areas, the entire town of Seville is a living museum of Iberian history, with its ornate ironwork and heavy furnishings, the perfect setting for many famous operas, looking much as it has for centuries. The Greater Seville area offers lodging options to fit any itinerary, from youth hostels and modest rooms in bed and breakfast inns throughout the countryside to full-service, modern hotels in the commercial areas of the city.
